A hopper bin is located on the left hand side of the stove, which will hold approx. 70 lbs. of grain.  It is automatically fed into the fire box every 6 to 13 seconds.  A cold air intake is located on the right hand side beside the door, cold air is drawn into the stove by a fan and forced through the high efficiency heat exchangers and then forced out the left side and top by dual blowers.  The temperature change in the air between the input and output is 170 - 190 degrees F, and will heat a well insulated house up to 2000 square feet.

The Grain Comfort stoves are equivalent to a wood stove by both having constant heat.  The fuel cost is about the same, but a wood stove requires any means necessary to obtain the wood (cutting, splitting, hauling), requires a chimney and has smoke, refueling is needed often, and has a lot of ash, depletes our natural resources, pollutes the air and soil and raises a home owners insurance.

The Grain Comfort stoves have NO SMOKE, NO CHIMNEY, NO MESS, NEEDS REFUELED ONLY ONCE OR TWICE A DAY, ASHES CLEANED ONCE A WEEK, EVERY TWO WEEKS, OR WHENEVER YOU PREFER.  There is one very simple maintenance procedure which takes less than a minute to do once or twice a day.  This procedure is to remove a clinker, which is a solid piece of material from the fire box.  This can be done without the fire every going out!  If the clinker is not removed at least once a day, the air flow will be restricted causing the stove to burn inefficiently and you will get less heat and use more fuel.
